Bing-Bang-Boom! Three More Considers

Introduction: A Sudden Surge in Considers

We figured this might happen. After almost three months of reading Get Repped Now submissions (and finding only three “considers” in that time,) boom – three more just this week. That has to do with many of you polishing and resubmitting at deadline (nice!) And of course other folks simply wait until the last minute to submit in the first place.

This Week’s Considers

This week’s considers: two horror movies and one pilot. And to publicly answer a question we get often: we do not play favorites with regard to genre or perceived commerciality. If the script’s a consider, we got to bat for it regardless of CI’s opinion about its market potential. Of course, the more commercially-minded scripts do tend to grab the managers’ attention more than the others.

So: three new considers this week, bringing us to six so far (with many, many more scripts still to read.) In fact, we haven’t even been able to gather pix and bios for all these latest considers yet, but here’s what we’ve got so far:

ROAR by AX Diamond (Horror Feature)

ROAR by AX Diamond (horror feature) – a pregnant young woman faces off against a killer cult that feeds babies to a mythical deer-like creature of the woods. Diamond is a gal who earns her living in corporate drag, has always loved films and decided to teach herself how to write them. She works in “a fussy, conservative profession that would be negatively impacted by the public knowledge of my predilection for all things bloody, gutty, murdery, and monstery.” Your secret’s safe with us.

MITOSIS by Rob Bogin (1-Hour Drama Pilot)

MITOSIS by Rob Bogin (1-hr drama pilot) – A medical student tries to outrun his family’s legacy as one of the most powerful mafia forces in New York. Bogin is a Critical Care physician starting his second (? fourth) act as a screenwriter, focused on fast-paced dramas/thrillers that include an authentic medical angle. He’s told stories his whole life: for Animal Planet network, as a medical reporter for the Denver NBC-TV affiliate, and as a nationally syndicated newspaper columnist.

THE BEAST OF VIRGINIA by Matthew Corley (Horror Feature)

THE BEAST OF VIRGINIA by Matthew Corley (horror feature) – Shunned by the narrow-minded people of her colonial Virginia home, a free-spirited trapper sets out to clear her name when she’s accused of witchcraft in the wake of a series of brutal wolf attacks.
