2025 Get Repped Now Consider Lands Management
Writer Snatched Up by Alibi LA
We saw some exceptional scripts this year as part of Coverage Ink’s Get Repped Now. But amazing writing talent isn’t everything. You also have to deliver the goods in a marketable genre. That is key. And so we had a sense that Erik Leifson’s PROWL, about two 25-year-old female medical students whose South American jungle hike becomes a fight for survival when a ferocious jaguar targets them, might get some attention. Great characters, tense as hell, environmental theme, and just a helluva thrill ride.
We also had an inkling that Jake Wagner would be the one to pounce. While most of the other managers haven’t even started reading yet, Jake swooped in like a bird of prey. Within just a few days, he had Zoomed with the writer, decided it was his horror play for October, and now the script is out to a small handful of well-selected producers, all within the space of a few days.
Wagner acting quickly is nothing new. He did the same thing with our previous Get Repped Now consider, Brandon Barker’s NOTTINGHAM and HOOD, which he sold to Disney in a matter of weeks.
So let’s all pull for Erik. Pins and needles time!
Go get ’em, Jake.
