GET REPPED NOW RETURNS – FOR GOOD
A Whole New Era for CI as Get Repped Now Starts Feb. 16
As CI enters its 24th year, and after 11 years of Get Repped Now, a thought struck us. A really interesting thought. One we think you’re gonna like.
What if instead of doing Get Repped Now for a brief window of time every year, we simply make it a year-round thing?
And so it shall be.
Starting February 16th, every pilot or feature submission to CI will automatically be entered into Get Repped Now.
All the time.
Year-round.
From now on 🙂
As always, all scripts that score a “consider” or higher for script (appx the top 2%) will be advanced to our manager panel (likely in September.)
This change will allow much more time for writers to hone and tone their scripts in advance of the deadline, which in theory should also allow for a few more considers than our usual 12-16. It should also allow us to stick much closer to our regular 10-day turnaround, since last time out some of you guys waited up to three months for your analysis, ugh!
We’re still working out the specifics, but for now, be aware that Get Repped Now is back, and it’s back for good.

Q&A
-
Can I Opt Out?
Of course. You can always elect to not participate in Get Repped Now for any reason.
-
Will All Considers for Script Still Be Read by the Managers?
Managers can decline to read a script if the logline does not grab them, or if they have something similar already, etc., but otherwise yes.
-
If I Get a Consider in March, Will I Have to Wait Until September?
Honestly, we’re still working out the deets. We’ll have a clear procedure by launch time. We may well go out to the managers twice a year.
-
When’s the Deadline?
TBA.
-
Is There Any Extra Cost for Get Repped Now?
Nope, just the regular cost of the analysis. Nor do we jack up the prices for deadline extensions like everybody else…
-
What If I Submit After the Deadline?
You’ll automatically be entered into the next GRN.
-
Why Wait Until September to Go Out to the Managers?
We do this to hopefully create a feeding frenzy. When one manager is interested in a writer, it creates heat and sparks interest from the others. This is, in part, how we’ve gotten writers signed the past five years straight. That said, we may consider other options in some cases, if warranted.
-
When Will You Announce the Manager Panel?
The panel will likely rotate depending on who’s available at any given time. The long lead times always mean at least one manager will not be available when we need them. We may simply do “Past Panels Have Included…”
More soon, peeps!
